Toys

This week at Little chicks, we have been continuing with our theme of toys. We have been looking at old and new toys and how they are different. The children brought in some fantastic toys, including a spinning top! In the mark making area, we have been drawing the toys that are in our toy boxes at home. The children are getting really good at holding their pencils correctly, well done!

Outside we have just about managed to dodge all that the weather can throw at us! We have seen wind, hail, snow and rain! We have been making birdfeeders, seeing which toys sink and float, and used natural resources to write in the sand, to name but a few activities.

During circle time, we have been looking at different everyday logo's and spotting the ones we recocognise. We have also practised using our positional language by describing where the elephant was sat in relation to the chair.

All in all, very busy!
