Autumn Discovery
As we draw to the end of the half term, we have been continuing with our topic of Autumn and harvest. This week the children have turned into human weighing scales while ordering all the fantastic harvest vegetables that have been sent in. There has been lots of language heard relating to weight, for example heavier and lighter! In the creative area, we have been creating some beautiful autumn tree pictures using cotton buds dipped in paint to make the leaves. Some of our work is up on the wall, please feel free to take a look!
In our role play area, the children have enjoyed going shopping in the farm shop, it has proved very popular with children taking advantage of the great prices!!
Outside in the water play we found some strange items....spiders, eyeballs and even bones! we used them to make a witches potion! There has also been some great threading of leaves that have been collected on a walk!
Today we have had our open afternoon. It has been great fun, and we thankyou for coming. We hope you enjoyed it as much as us!
Have a lovely half term and we will see you on the 6th of November!
