Recycling and Comenius week

What a busy week this was! Thank you very much for bringing in our recyclable materials - they were very useful! We were actually shocked to see just how much we throw away and recycle - so we were excited to reuse our materials and make pieces of art with them.

First we shared out the recyclables and we looked at Andy Goldsworthy's natural artwork on the internet. We loved this! Then, in groups, we created a piece of art using the materials based on a word...

Then we sorted our recyclables into categories and began to make our 'Recycled Nature' display. In groups we made the tree, the leaves, the branches and the giant owl. Then we made our own baby owls. What fun!
