On Friday 14th February we had our VICTA day in school and spent the day thinking about people who are visually impaired. We did lots of different activities allowing us to think about the challenges they face and how it might feel to not be able to see things around us. We used our PE lesson to set up an obstacle course where our partners were blindfolded. We had to guide them around the obstacles by giving clear instructions.

What did you find the most challenging part of our obstacle course and why? How did it make you feel?

I'm glad they came in so we can help people who are partially sighted or blind and raise awareness to other people

I liked how we got to have a go at being blindfolded.it made me realise that it’s really hard for people to do things if your blind. It made me think about it a lot more than I did
