It was with great excitement that Year 5 and 4 staff including Mr Jones, Mrs McGrath, Mr Cox and Mrs McArdle set off for Ghyll Head on the eastern shore of Lake Windermere.

We had a super time taking part in activities such as ghyll scrambling, climbing Gummers How (321m above sea level) and canoeing on Lake Windermere. Mr Jones' group were even lucky enough to see a GR4 RAF Tornado fly right over the top them while canoeng across.

Tiredness kicked in towards the end and the coach journey was certainly quieter on the way back than it was going. Well done to all the children - you took on challenges and came through them with flying colours. We are very proud of you.
