Welcome to Kestrels 2023/24
Our teachers are Mrs Hogg and Mrs Danyadi-Elliott, and our Learning Support Assistant is Mrs Chappell.
Mrs Hogg teaches Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday, and Mrs Danyadi-Elliott teaches Thursday and Friday. PPA is covered by Mrs Crooks.
Our topic this term is: Ancient Greeks
Our PE days are Mondays and Thursdays - you will need to be in your PE kit on both these days. During Spring Term, our Monday PE lesson will be swimming, so don't forget your swim kit too.
Our outdoor learning day is Monday.
Hi everyone,
On this page you will find key information that you might need. Kestrels homework will be set on a Friday and needs to be submitted by the following Thursday. All the children have been given their login details for EdShed, TTRS and IDL and are in their reading records. As well as daily reading at home please can you encourage your child to complete a TTRS and IDL session too!
Spellings
Children will be given a set of spellings to learn each week based on different spelling patterns. Please help your child to learn their spellings each week.
Snack & Water
Children are able to bring in their own snack for playtime. This can be a cereal/breakfast bar (please no sugary cereal bars), fruit or veg. We would really like to encourage children to bring in their own water bottles each day. This ensures that they are able to have a drink regularly throughout the day. Please ensure the bottle is clearly labelled with your child's name.
Please ensure you are checking in on class dojo daily to see what the children have been up to. We will be using this platform to communicate everything that is happening in school, the newsletter, important dates.
