Welcome back after our Christmas Break

We really hope that you have had a fabulous Christmas and New Year. All the very best for a wonderful 2020. We are so excited to start our Spring Term, we have so many exciting topics to be learning about this term. Our main focus will be on Fairground and Theme Park rides, learning all about the science behind how they work and exploring different theme parks across the world. Reading is also going to be a big focus this term. I would like every child to read everyday and enjoy it!! They can choose books in school to read but if they have a favourite book they got for Christmas, of course they can read that too. Throughout the week we will be checking reading records and every Friday we will be recording how many times they have read independently or to an adult that week. Ideally adults should be listening to their child read as often as they can. I will also be checking IDL and Rockstar Timestables to see how often children are going on, so if you can't access them at home, please let me know and I will arrange provision for these children in school.

Just to keep you informed, Monday is still our PE day, so we look forward to seeing the children all kitted out in their PE kits ready for an afternoon of sports and fitness. Please remember to leave jewellery at home on these days.
