Image of Our first PE lesson at school

Tuesday is PE day in the Ducklings and both classes have time in the hall and outside to develop their gross motor skills.

Today was our first lesson so we went to explore the hall. We listened to the story, Funnybones as this will be our story for this half term. We learned the rules of staying safe when we are in the hall; listen carefully, look where you are going and be sensible with the equipment.

After that we  practiced finding a space.Everyone did really well as its a huge space to fill and sit by yourself. Mrs Wills asked us to move in different ways around the hall; run, hop, skip, jump, jog, creep, bunny hop and walk backwards. Every time she clapped her hands we had to find a space and sit or stand there.

When we were finishing we sang, "Heads, Shoulders, Knees and Toes" and then played sleeping lions before we lined up.

Have a look at some of our pictures here.
