The children in Doves' Class have been discussing the value of money and how not to take it for granted. They created a role play of a scenario between a mother and a daughter, where they have discussed how children should earn some of the things they get and that children shouldn't just expect 'things'. This role play involved the idea that children could earn pocket money and how to be more responsible for this. Following this lesson, the children used their understanding of the features of playscripts to create a playscript for the roleplay they created. They practised with their partner and discussed how stage direction can be added to playscripts to enable the actors to follow the script more effectively.
