Scooter Day!

To continue our learning all about a healthy lifestyle, Doves class turned into business people this week to plan and design their own scooter.

Once they had chosen their new business name, the Doves researched scooters already for sale and then discussed what they needed to make a good scooter for the brief given (children 7-9 years and suitable to use for travel to and from school).

The children worked with their friends to plan and design a scooter, choosing from a variety of materials and their price tags.

The children were brilliant at discussing the pro's and cons's of each product and worked together to work out the total cost. The Doves used their fantastic column method skills to add the prices of their chosen scooter parts.

When the design process was complete the children developed adverts for their new scooters. Doves used their knowledge and understanding of perusasive writing to create an interesting advert.  The adverts then came to life when the children pitched their scooter in a dragons den style role play.

Watch out Alan Sugar!!!
